Ok so there is this one Mexican family here who are the coolest! Alex DeLeon, did you ever realize just how cool your culture is? Well, these little Mexicanos are converts of a few years now and we went and stopped by this past week. I don't know if I ever mentioned how when I was in this area for the first time months ago I had the spiciest pepper of my life, or so I thought. I was wrong. We went this week and I for real had the spiciest pepper of my life. My lips and tongue went numb, even the tortillas I ate afterwards seemed to be spicy. It was horrifying. Which also reminds me, we had an FHE with this Mexican family and two others this week. Yes, we had carne asada and homemade refried beans afterwards. It was the best! They passed around some Mexican lollipops before the meeting, which were obviously also spicy, and there was this 10 month old baby sucking away...... The dad looks over at us and says, "yeah, that's a real Mexican boy." Hahahaha we were laughing so hard. They start them young here, I am pretty sure they are born sucking on a jalapeño.
Hermana Grubs turned 22!! You can bet your bottom dollar we celebrated. "Always a reason a celebrate" right? We had Colombian burgers, which were the bomb diggity. I love Colombia, I really do, but they don't have a thing on in-n-out. Speaking of Colombia, we bought jerseys last week.... It was a dream come true moment.
Nothing else new happened this week. The alarm in the mornings seemed to be able to pierce my earholes, but other than that it was a great week!
Lots of love from the sunshine state,
