I have come to know many truths out here. I know that God lives. I know He loves us. He has provided us with the Gospel of Jesus Christ so that one day we might be able to live in His presence. He provided us with a Savior to enable that to happen. Our Savior, Jesus Christ came into the world to save us, redeem us and to change us. For the past 18 months I have been able to see this change in other people, but the greatest change is the one that happen to me. I don't know I got so blessed to be able to serve my brothers and sisters here in Orlando, but I did. It was hard and hot and sweaty...... But worth it. A departing missionary the first week I got to Florida told me, "you'll look back at your 18 months and realize He was right there beside the entire way." And He was. This is His work. This is His gospel. I am grateful that I was able to share the knowledge that I have with those who needed it most. The Book of Mormon is my favorite book in the entire world. I will read it everyday until I die. It draws people to Christ. It has made me a better missionary, a better daughter, a better sister and has set the foundation to be a better person for the rest of my life. Along with the knowledge I have that the Book of Mormon is true, I know that it was translated by the power of God through Joseph Smith. Praise to that man. I know that he saw our Heavenly Father and His beloved son, Jesus Christ, and because of that the world will never be the same. I know the Plan of Salvation that allows us to live with our families for the eternities is real. I have seen marriages saved and families strengthened as they have come to know their purpose here on earth and live the Gospel of Jesus Christ. .........I'm excited to come home. Not because I'll be able to wear jeans or finally watch "Frozen" (ok I'm a little excited about those things) but mostly because I will be able to continue to
progress and apply everything I have learned out here. What I had thought to be the greatest sacrifice of my life ended up being the greatest privilege I've ever had. Goodbye Orlando, the city beautiful,
you've been the greatest adventure.
Oh also, Carlos got baptized yesterday. He's been such a blessing in my life. Sad I won't be able to see him progress in the gospel, but I'll be back soon ;)
See ya soon!
Con amor siempre,Hermana Brooks
