Maria V. Have I mentioned how much I love her? She's this young mom with 3 kids under the age of four, it's like she is meant to be Mormona or algo. We had lunch, by surprise, we also may or may not had 2 other unplanned meals that day. I've lost any hope coming home skinny... And you know what? I doesn't even phase me. Every arepa I eat, I do so joyfully because I know my arepa days are coming to an end. Anyways, we taught her the plan of salvation. The kids were running around and it was probably the most distracting lesson of my entire mission. At the end of our lesson we asked to pray to know of the things we have shared are true and she says, "I don't need to pray to know that it is true, I can feel that it is in my heart."
Coolest tender mercy. We were at a temple tour on Wednesday and I ran into a few elders and one of them is a super greenie (he got here last week) and said he had something for me? Hmm I've never seen or met him in my life, but he pulls out a card from Mr. Mac and there was a little note on the back from Phe.... "We will see you soon." Aweee I don't know what was more sweet the thought of you guys missing me or this elder keeping the note safe and sound.... Either way it was cool.
Que mas? Dejeme ver. Oh yeah I don't want to leave. Yesterday one of the greatest members I know, Sister Calderon, gave a talk on missionary work, probably the best talk I have ever heard in
sacrament. I think what made it so special was that this family was baptized like 12 years ago and they are soooo solid. Their son is serving in Thailand and they just love this gospel so much. Well
during the talk she looked at me and starts talking about how I leave soon, but I will always be a missionary. Always.
Nothing else is new. We are continuing to see miracles here in good ole Windy. Actually there was a sweet miracle we saw this past week, but it would take forever and a day to type out and nobody got time for dat.
Love you all!
Con amor, Hermana Brooks
