D&C 45:32 "But my disciples shall stand in holy places, and shall not be moved". This scripture has been on my mind recently as I have thought about what my holy places are. Many things came to my mind. I can remember being invited by a dear friend to Young a Women's Camp and bearing my simple (I don't even know if I could call it) testimony. I can still remember the summer of 2011 at EFY when I got on my knees and prayed to Heavenly Father to see if He was really listening. I can remember standing at the edge of the Susquehanna River singing hymns and watching recently ordained elders give a priesthood blessing. I can remember sitting on the temple grounds of the a Rexburg temple pondering about serving a mission. Then my mind comes to Florida. The holiest of places. It is here where I have spent hours on my knees talking with my Heavenly Father and walking and talking around this melting pot of a city. It is a place where I have come to personally know Him. I'm so grateful to be a disciple of Jesus Christ.
I thought my Spanish reached an all time high this week and then a 5 year old started talking to me..... Like what? I'm pretty sure he wasn't speaking English nor Spanish. These Hispanic little ones are sooo cute though.
It's still in the 80's and we are still getting ice cream cones and sitting outside having lessons. Isn't it supposed to be winter? Also, remember what happens when Sister Brooks is outside in Florida when it is warm outside? MOSQUITOS. A lot of cool things happened this week, but really I am just too lazy to write em all out!
I love you all!
Con amor, Hermana Brooks
