Oh man, last week I meant to tell you all of this one time where this wannabe Ke$ha crashed our Brazilian barbecue, but I didn't have time. It's pretty cool though and a little odd. So here we all were enjoying our steak when all of a sudden this group of kids enter the barbecue area. Well there was one girl within this group of guys and she was completely wasted. Halfway through the dinner she walks up and starts drinking out of Hna. Moody's glass. Yeah, real classy. She must have thought our apple cider was alcohol because she downed that thing. About 5 minutes later she walked up and asked us if we had any cigarettes.... Yeah, let's just say that whole night we were laughing about it and we were also so grateful for the word of wisdom! THIS IS WHERE THE STORY GETS GOOD. On Monday we had a lesson with Carlos about the Restoration and it turned into the word of wisdom and he looked at us and was like "I know this is true". He goes on to tell his side of the "ke$ha crashing the party story" and how he is so grateful for us. He said that he looked at the girl, who was roughly around our age, and then looked at us and could physically see something different within us. He also accepted a date to be baptized on March 8th because he wants to be able to baptize his son who turns 8 a few weeks later..... Also he said I needed to be there for it......... Best leaving present ever.
That moment when Hermana Moody and realize every single one of our female investigators are named Maria jajaja classic spanish work probs
Speaking of Maria (Hector's wife) we just love her. We had our first lesson with her this week and she broke down crying thanking us for helping Hector. She's not a member... Yet... but told us that the gospel saved her marriage. Life is so hard, like what do people do without the gospel? We are so blessed for the knowledge we have!
Hey! Dateline NBC did a special on sister missionaries and it was filmed in our mission! Check it out!! Also, the Hispanic investigator in the clip was Gruber and I's investigator in Valencia that they borrowed just for the day. Reason 82929374 why the Florida Orlando Mission is zee best.
