I've met people from Barbados, Taiwan, Iraq, Ukraine, Uruguay, Virginia islands, Haiti, Australia, Albania, Scotland, almost every single South American country and the list could go on. Let me just tell ya, us humans are so interesting. I have been able to take with me a little something from every person I have met from their country. Well, after watching Meet the Mormons it hit me how perfect god's plan is for each of His children. It works just as much for the Hispanic people as it does the Korean people (shout out to Isaac!). This gospel is so perfect. Every person in the movie came from a different background-- all with their different circumstances and problems, but their common belief is the way they followed their Savior, Jesus Christ. Everyone go watch it! Check out meetthemormon.com to find a theater near you..... It's like I'm back at the movie theater glory days hahaha
We have been on this slight obsession with Calee Reed. Look up her up. Most angelic voice ever. Maybe because I have just now reached the point where I would prefer anything except for Mo-Tab.
One thing I came to learn this week was appreciating the smalls things in life. Right now all of our investigators are super sketchy, but we have been teaching less-actives families like crazy. A lot of them are coming back and staying for more than 1 hour. I really was able to recognize the little blessings that the my Heavenly Father has given me. This week it happened as we were having a family home evening with our favorite Mexican family last night. We were sitting out side as the sun was setting, speaking Spanish with Mexicans and Colombians, eating carne asada and the other good stuff while sharing our testimonies and stories of our membership in the gospel. It was just a moment where you look around thinking how blessed you are.
We met some really cool potentials this week. One was named Hyrum, obviously needs to be a member with a name like that. The other was an Egyptian family we randomly met knocking doors. They could barely speak english, but invited us right in to eat with them after I opened my mouth and said "wow smells delicious in there what are you cooking?" Not sure if it was me talking or my stomach.... random shoutouts.
The week happened so fast I can't recall everything. I dreamt in spanish twice this week so that was tiring. Oh yeah, it's still 91 degrees outside, but we have our car again. Counting my lucky stars. Also, we make helmets look good, that's all I have got to say about that.
Con amor,
