And here it goes....
So to start off, last week we ate at Panda Express and I received 2 fortunes in my fortune cookie. I knew it was bound to be a good week, which it was.
We had a mission conference Saturday and Elder Russell M. Nelson came and talked with us. He even said a few words consisting of, "Oh you speak Spanish?" My lame response, "Si". That was my 10 seconds of interaction with an Apostle of God. The Spirit he brought into the room was amazing. There is no doubt that you couldn't tell that he was called of God. He talked with us Saturday morning and again on Sunday at a Regional Conference emphasizing on the main doctrines of the church and the importance of needing to know the "why". He had also mentioned to us that the motto of the church would be Moses 1:39. If you read it, you will know why.
You may have an idea of the work that is going on over here in Florida, but you have no idea. It's crazy. And missionary life is just plain awkward. And tiring. And the greatest cause of my happiness. And every other thing. Yesterday, after the regional conference we had 4 meals with 4 different families all between the hours of 2pm and 6:30pm. I wanted to die, but the Lord came through with answering our prayers and I was somehow able to eat everything. My companion however pulled the "sick" card and left me being the fat one. We're working on companion unity this week! Haha but she is great and we are working together really well, so I am blessed in that area.
We get our iPads this week to fully begin our online proselyting, so big changes are coming to FOM. I thought I had gotten rid of technology in my life for 18 months, but no. It's also been freezing here. It actually got to the 30's. To all those who told me that Florida is only cold for 2 weeks needs to read 2 Nephi 9:34 then re-evaluate that comment. The Spirit is keeping me warm however. We still have our one part member investigator, but there have been a few problems occur, like I said, missionary work is just straight up awkward, but hopefully within the next few weeks he will be entering the water. We also got a few member referrals this week (aka THE BEST) and went to visit one of them and she is so golden. She has met with Elders before, but could never go to church because of her work schedule, but she doesn't have that job anymore and is taking it as a sign to take the lessons again and is determined to come to church. Blessings. She has also been taking discussions from all different religions, but keeps coming back to us. Why? Because we have the truth restored.
I want to share one of my favorite lds.org videos that has really touched my heart this past week.

Awesome right? You bet. Now be an awesome member missionary and share it :)
I love this gospel and all the opportunities it has blessed me with. The Lord, His timing and miracles are perfect... Come unto Him.
